Passover is an annual Jewish holiday commemorating the deliverance of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. The holiday, which falls on the first day of the Hebrew month of Nisan, marks the end of the springtime festival of Passover. Jews commemorate the event by eating a special meal, and fasting from sunrise to sunset.
